Indeed, yes, the India Post Payment Bank is getting ready for the release of a virtual debit card.
On 30-01-2017, India Post Payment Bank(IPPB) was launched in Ranchi and Raipur also under the pilot project. Further, the Bank has been extended to 650 branches and as many as 1,36,078 access points countrywide. These access points are basically the post offices connected to each branch of IPPB by the end of 2019.
Further, there are only 6 Payment banks existing as of now. And they are:
1. India Post Payments Bank Limited
2.Airtel Payments Bank Limited.
3.Fino Payments Bank Limited.
4.Paytm Payments Bank Limited.
5.NSDL Payments Bank Limited.
6.Jio Payments Bank Limited.
What is a virtual debit card?
A virtual debit card is created for easy and secure online eCommerce transactions without parting with the account information or primary card also to the merchant.
IPPB Virtual Debit Card
Firstly, log in to your IPPB Mobile app. Of course, if you don’t have one, you may download it from google play store if you use Andriod mobile. Further, if you use iOS, you may download it from the app store.

Secondly, you may have to enter MPIN and login to IPPB.
Subsequently, the main menu of IPPB will be shown as follows:

Later, in the menu you may check-in / click on the “CARDS” option.
After that, you will be prompted to “Choose card”.
Simultaneously, the next step, Virtual Debit card will appear.

Next step is when you hit on Virtual debit card, you find a message as follows:
Request failed: Virtual Debit card services are going to start shortly.

Thus, this shows that India Post Payment Bank(IPPB) has also stepped up for Virtual Cashless Banking.
Further, as a part of Cashless Banking & Digital India initiative IPPB is going to launch Virtual Debit Card facilities in the coming days for its esteemed customers.
